The goal of a Backgammon game is to shift your pieces around the Backgammon board and bear them off the board quicker than your challenger who works just as hard to achieve the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a round of Backgammon requires both strategy and luck. Just how far you can move your checkers is up to the numbers from rolling the dice, and the way you shift your checkers are decided on by your overall gambling strategies. Enthusiasts use a few techniques in the different stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Strategy

The aim of the Running Game technique is to bring all your checkers into your home board and pull them off as quick as you can. This technique concentrates on the speed of moving your chips with little or no time spent to hit or block your opponent’s chips. The best scenario to use this technique is when you think you can shift your own pieces faster than the opposing player does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking technique.

The Blocking Game Plan

The primary goal of the blocking plan, by the title, is to block the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. As soon as you have created the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can move your other checkers quickly from the board. You should also have an apparent plan when to back off and shift the checkers that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when your competitor utilizes the same blocking technique.
